Like a Tree by the Water
On a recent visit to Emmanuel Children’s Home in Juárez, Mexico, I witnessed firsthand how faith can thrive even in the ashes of hardship. Amid the fire-scarred remains of their former classrooms, a mural painted with Jeremiah 17:7–8 quietly declares trust in the Lord. What began over 60 years ago as a small act of obedience has grown into a vibrant ministry, still baptizing children, teaching Scripture, and rebuilding with hope. This is a story of resilience, rooted faith, and a community that continues to bear fruit.
A Tribute to Brother Josue
Honoring a Legacy of Love and Faith in Christ
Brother Josue Lopez’s life left an indelible mark on everyone he touched. From mentoring young hearts in Juarez to building Emmanuel Ministries, his passion for God’s kingdom was unstoppable. Though his passing in 2020 and a devastating fire rocked the ministry, his vision lives on. Ed Hudson shares his heartfelt reflections on Brother Josue’s life and the enduring impact of his legacy in Mexico.
The Presence of God on the Hill
Emmanuel Children’s Home is more than a mission—it’s a movement of God’s restoration. The call isn’t just to give but to go—to build relationships, love well, and serve. When we step out in obedience and unity, God will move. Will you show up and be part of His work?

A Heart for Naco
This trip was a turning point. We visited Iglesia Cristiana de Naco, a church with two campuses separated by the U.S.-Mexico border yet united in faith. Led by Pastor Jesse Wood, it embodies being one body in Christ. Beyond the church walls, we took to the streets, sharing the Gospel and witnessing God move in incredible ways.
